Every hero has that first loss. Or is that just something I'm assuming, to make myself feel better? Whatever the case, Black Adam was my first loss.
When you have super powers, it is so easy to overestimate yourself. Lifting a car and pulling out a child is real easy when the car isn't hitting you back.
The first time you fight a 'real' metahuman, the kind who can hit you and hurt you, is an eye-opener. Especially when, a few punches later, you wake up the next morning in an empty construction site miles away. Talk about your "wake-up calls"!
It was then I realized I needed to learn how to fight. But that is another story!
